Body of hostage held in Iraq released

A body thought to be of one of the five British hostages captured in Baghdad in 2007 was passed to the embassy in Iraq yesterday.Names of the five hostages and their status:
The identity has yet to be confirmed but it is believed to be either Alan McMenemy or Alec MacLachlan, who were kidnapped while working as bodyguards.

Alan McMenemy - missing, suspicions he is deceased
Alec MacLachlan - missing, suspicions he is deceased
Remains have now been positively identified as that of Alec MacLachlan, 30, of Llanelli, south Wales.
