  1. Thanks for the update. It's strange to see the dates up there - really points out how anachronistic Kirk's disappearance was.

  2. Both Kirk's disappearance and Ryan's murder were well before the insurgency. Fewer than 20 American civilian contractors had died in Iraq in total.
